Abstract

In order to strengthen the legitimacy of international criminal law as an instrument of universal human rights protection, it is time for international criminal law to open itself up to discourses that deal with the implications of colonial thinking and practices. This volume aims to advance this debate. It contains contributions from representatives of postcolonial theory and from representatives of international criminal law who explore the challenges and potential of postcolonial criticism for international criminal law. Diese Auseinandersetzung will der vorliegende Band voranbringen.
